Lower School Students Learn the Importance of Access to Clean Water in Immersive Experience
May 01, 2019
During Lower School Project Day on Wednesday, April 24th, 3rd and 5th-grade students engaged in a virtual reality experience with , our April community service organization. Volunteers from charity: water set up virtual reality viewing stations where students followed 13-year-old girl Selam on her long daily walk to collect drinking water for her family from the closest river in Ethiopia. Students experienced the transformation of her community as a well bearing fresh water is dug for the first time in her village. This virtual reality video gave students the opportunity to understand the importance of access to clean drinking water and why Léman is dedicating our April Month of Service to charity: water, an organization that helps children around the world learn, grow, and thrive - all by giving them access to clean water.
